Week 12: 3/30-4/6
This week, I chose the emotion "relief" because towards the end of the week, I felt light as a feather and like I could finally stop and smell the roses. I worked on combining different aspects of my week into one picture and decided on having music notes acting as part of the rain in my doodle this week. I chose to again use lines as my shape and they are found in the music notes but also the lines of rain coming from the sky. Looking back at where my doodles first started, I think that my practice this week paints a picture of an emotion in a manner that is more personal to me than my first few practices. I really enjoyed making this doodle as it had me reflect on the ups and downs of this week and how ultimately, I was able to end the week with a more positive attitude than when I started. The doodle I made this week is of two friends stomping in puddles while it's raining. Pertaining to my last piece, I had a picture of a girl drowning in water. I purposefully wanted to integrate water into my work this week and decided it would be fitting to have two people stomping on the water as if overcoming it. At the end of this last week, I was able to spend time with my friends and just detach myself from work that had been weighing me down. Being with my friends always puts me in good spirits and I was also able to practice music which improved my mood. Doing this felt so freeing and gave me relief as I was able to replenish from the long weeks I've been having. This piece was done while I was with one of my friends and both before and after the practice, I found myself feeling calm. Though the start of the week was tough, I was able to end the week feeling loved and relaxed.
